Do I need to be technical?
No. I handle all the technical setup. You'll interact with your AI by texting it on WhatsApp, iMessage, or whatever app you prefer, just like messaging a person. If you can send a text message, you can use this.
What computer do I need?
Almost anything works. A Mac, a Windows PC, even an old laptop you're not using. It runs quietly in the background. If you don't have anything suitable, I'll help you pick something affordable (usually $200-400 for a mini PC).
What's the monthly cost after setup?
You'll pay for an AI subscription directly to the provider (like Anthropic or OpenAI). For most small business use cases, that's $20-100/month. I help you pick the plan that fits your budget and optimize it so you're not overpaying. My setup fee is one-time.
Can it read my email?
Only if you want it to. We set exact permissions together. You decide what it can see and what it can do. Want it to read emails but not send them without your approval? Done. Everything is configurable.
Is my data safe?
Your AI runs on your own computer, on your own network. Your data never touches a shared server. I set up security hardening, encrypted connections, and access controls as part of every setup. This is significantly more private than any cloud-hosted AI service.
What if I want to change something later?

OpenClaw's creator just joined OpenAI.

On February 15, 2026, Sam Altman announced that Peter Steinberger, the creator of OpenClaw, is joining OpenAI. The project is moving to an open source foundation with OpenAI's backing. This is the biggest validation that personal AI agents are real infrastructure, not a hobby project.

What this means for you: things are about to move fast. New features, new integrations, new models, new capabilities. Every month the platform gets more powerful. That's exciting, but it also means the gap between "installed OpenClaw" and "optimized OpenClaw" is going to keep growing.

I'm spending the time to keep up so you don't have to. When new features drop, I test them, figure out what works, and roll them into client setups. When models improve, I benchmark them and update your configuration. You get the benefits without reading changelogs or debugging config files.

A note about AI model choice

I strongly recommend Claude Opus 4.6 (Anthropic, $200/mo) as the primary model for your AI agent. It has the best reasoning, the strongest personality consistency, and critically, the best prompt injection resistance of any model available today.

Prompt injection is when someone tricks an AI into doing something it shouldn't, through a malicious email, a crafted document, or even a hidden message on a website your agent visits. This is already happening: people are embedding AI-targeted instructions in their public social media profiles right now, hoping to hijack any agent that reads them. If your AI agent reads your email and processes documents, this is a real risk. Opus is significantly harder to manipulate than cheaper models.

Other models will work. I can set up your agent with Claude Sonnet ($20-100/mo) or other providers at lower cost. But cheaper models are more susceptible to manipulation, less reliable in their judgment, and more likely to make mistakes when acting autonomously. I'll walk you through the tradeoffs so you can make an informed decision, but I want you to know this up front.
